No Divorce For 8-Yr-Old Girl
It was not shocking news. It happens in some parts of the world. But, a verdict by a court in Saudi Arabia was shocking. The court turned down a plea to divorce an 8 yea-old girl married off by her father to a man, who is 58. The court argued that the case should wait until the girl reaches puberty. In August, the girl's divorced mother filed the divorce plea with a court at Unayzah, near Riyadh. Lawyer Abdullar Jtili pointed out that the judge rejected the plea saying that the girl did not have the right to file such a case. The father had agreed to marry off his daughter for an advance dowry of GBP 5,000 due to certain financial problems.

Bomber At 13 !
What did you do at the age of 13 ? I guess studying, reading, playing with friends etc. etc. However, a 13-year-old boy in Afghanistan did an unimaginable thing. He became a suicide bomber and killed three British soldiers in Helmand province. According to reports, the men were approached by this suicide bomber and after few moments a bomb hidden under papers in the wheelbarrow was detonated. It is widely believed that the bomb was detonated by a watching member of the Taliban using a remote-control device. This incident propelled me to think why this boy turned out be a suicide bomber at a tender age? Is it poverty or is it lack of education ?

Human Rights Day
Today is Human Rights Day ! This Day is celebrated across the world to respect every human being's rights and freedoms. According to UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Louise Arbour," Today, poverty prevails as the gravest human rights challenge in the world. Combating poverty, deprivation and exclusion is not a matter of charity, and it does not depend on how rich a country is. By tackling poverty as a matter of human rights obligation, the world will have a better chance of abolishing this scourge in our lifetime....Poverty eradication is an achievable goal." Remember the US military prison at Guantanamo Bay. On this occasion, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon pointed out that the world faced a food emergency and global financial downturn and there was political repression in a number of countries. So how much you respect others rights and freedoms ?

It is all about hard work. Charismatic football player Cristiano Ronaldo has grabbed the prestigious Ballon d'Or trophy awarded by France Football magazine. He fired 42 goals as Manchester United clinched the Champions League and English Premier League last season. The 23-year-old winger, also a Casanova of the field, stated, "It is one of the most beautiful days of my life, something I dreamed of as a child." 77 out of the 96 journalists voted in favour of Ronaldo. "But to the people who mentioned my name, I say thank you. Thank you also to my team-mates. This (trophy) is one that I want to win again because it is so good," he added. I wish him all the success in the world.

They could do anything in this world, just in the name of religion and god. They are more lethal than AIDS. The attack on Mumbai showed that no body is safe in this world, but our politicians are safe. Have you ever heard that a politician was killed by a terrorist? Rare. Those who suffer most are common people and their beloved. The situation has become so worst that we have become only mute spectators. We can just throw our opinions. Don't know what to do. Just wait for few days and you will see another attack. It is not a prediction. I am damn sure because these terrorists could do anything at any time. How can you stop a person who is ready to die? Can you change his mindset ? Probably not.

Pregnant Man
Thomas Beatie. Everybody knows him as 'the pregnant man' of the world. Recently he and his wife and five-month baby spoke to media together for the first time. Beatie stated that they are expecting their second child in June and the sperm came from the same donor. "I lived my life as a woman at that point. Legally, I was female. But inside I still felt male. So the way other people perceived us, they saw us as a lesbian couple," the 34-year-old man explained. However, he acknowledged that they have legal problems with their first baby's birth certificate. He also describes his first delivery as life-changing experience. It may be recalled that the couple met 18 years ago and married after living nearly 12 years later. Beatie kept his female reproductive organs despite the fact that he underwent a surgery. Miracle of science !

GFC
Global Financial Crisis (GFC). The three little dangerous words. The impact of the GFC is so high that many major companies across the world are dismissing their employees. And no body knows where it will end. So much we read about the crisis in newspapers, so much we see on TV, so much we listen to radio that the whole world is feeling the heat. But did the GFC really affect you ? Did it really change your lifestyle or not ? Do you really worrying about the GFC or you don't care about it ?

Oh My God !
It is unbelievable, but true. According to England's Telegraph newspaper, a nine-year-old Japanese schoolboy, who learnt driving from playing various video games, used his skills to steal the family car. The Japanese boy had keen interest in visiting his grandmother. He found the car, which was parked with the keys in the ignition, in front of his home. However, soon after the boy set off on the 7.5 mile journey he became lost. He pulled into a convenience store car park in a bid to ask staff for directions after 1.8 miles. After seeing the car without a driver in the city of Ogaki, people informed police immediately. "I learned from playing video games at arcades and watching my father drive. I'm sorry. I just wanted to go to my grandmother's house," the boy told police. Does he need an award or a lesson ?

Shame On Than Shwe
The world is changing, but not Burma and its ruthless rulers. Nay Phone Latt, the country's well-known BLOGGER, has been sentenced to 20 years in jail. The main reason behind this punishment was that Latt posted a cartoon of the military leader Than Shwe on his blog. Was it really a crime ?
According to his mother Aye Than, Latt's colleague July Kyaw was also sentenced to two years imprisonment. According to Than, she was not allowed to attend the trial, while Latt was not represented by his defence lawyer, Aung Thein. Latt is a popular blogger in his country, where you can hardly find anyone to express his/her opinions. This is mainly because of modern Hitler 'Than Shwe', who is quite infamous in the world for his brutality. "Shame on Than Shwe". I am lucky to be born in my country, where everybody is allowed to express his/her views on various issues.

Men Do Care For Cleanliness
I was surprised to read this. Women's hands are dirtier than men's. A study conducted by researchers with the University of Colorado claimed this. Women have a huge range of bacteria on the palms of their hands than men, the study found.
According to scientists at the University, a hand has 150 forms of bacteria but women generally had a greater number. The study found over 4,700 various kinds of bacteria on 102 hands. However only five species were shared among the participants. The recent study also killed the eternal notion that men don’t care about cleanliness.

Test-Tube Babies
It is all about technology. A total of 20 test-tube babies were born in a single day at the Sudha Test Tube Centre, Erode, Tamil Nadu India, which was a record in the country. A total of 12 women became proud mother of these babies, 16 of them twins. The babies were delivered through Cesarean section. The women were in the last stages of pregnancy. Doctors at the centre said that the babies weighed between 2.2 and 3.5 kg and their mothers were all in good conditions. Doctors pointed out that the mothers suffered lack of eggs, and ovarian failure or defective fallopian tubes. Through intra cytoplasmic sperm injection technique, all the eggs were fertilised.

German Lady+Swiss Gigolo = Blackmail
There is no dearth of bizarre news in the world. And here I am presenting a news-story that might propel you to react. Susanne Klatten, who is considered the richest woman of Germany, recently hit the headlines due to her own faults. Klatten, an heiress to carmaker BMW's fortune, was blackmailed for millions of Euro by a Swiss lover, who threatened to release their secretly filmed sex videos. The Swiss gigolo Helg Sgarbis had started an affair with the German lady in 2006. Klatten, who owns a 50% stake of chemical firm Altana and 12.5% stake in BMW, has already paid EUR 7.5 million to Sgarbis last year. According to media reports, this gigolo had already spent that amount on Egyptian real estate and exotic cars, including a Rolls-Royce Silver. However, he still demanded 40 million more form this lady, who had approached Munich prosecutors over the matter, saying that she was a victim of fraud and blackmail. Following her complaint, Sgarbi and his accomplice, Ernano Barretta of Italy were arrested, thanks to a joint Italian-German police operation. But the question is why she started an affair with a gigolo, who finally blackmailed her ? Perhaps only she knows the truth…..

Hamilton Makes History
England's Lewis Hamilton is only 23-year-old, but he achieved what others only dream of. Hamilton, who drives for McLaren, has created history in Formula One, by becoming the youngest world champion despite his fifth position in the Brazilian Grand Prix. He took the crown, thanks to his grit and determination. Hamilton, considered by many as the first black driver in Formula One, told journalists, "It's pretty much impossible to put into words how I feel. I'm speechless. It has been such a long journey and I am thrilled to be able to do this for everyone." I wish him all success, good luck, and greater achievements.

Finally, he did it. Manuel Uribe, the world's heaviest man, recently married his longtime girlfriend Claudia Solis in northern Mexico. Uribe, who had not left his bed for six years, got married in his hometown of Monterrey. The wedding ceremony was attended by 400 guests. The 43-year-old Mexican and his bed had to be lifted onto a crane for the wedding ceremony. Uribe now weighs 259 kg. I wish them a Happy Married Life…

Welcome To Rabbit Pavilion
It is the Macau Pavilion, which was recently unveiled at Shanghai World Expo. The shape of the pavilion is a jade rabbit lantern and it will change colors to present a mythological world. The designers of this beautiful pavilion got inspiration from rabbit lanterns popular during the Mid-autumn Festival in south China in ancient times. In a bid to attract visitors, balloons will serve as the head and tail of the rabbit. It has been decided that every visitor to this site will get a rabbit lantern.

Bravo !
Here is another interesting story and this time another bold woman.
A 73-year old lady has set a new and unique record in the UK. According to Yorkshireeveningpost, Barbara Dyson, a surgeon from Methley, Leeds, has become the oldest woman in the country to secure a karate black belt after promising her dying husband that she would fight until she won the belt, which is considered as the sport's highest accolade. Dyson won this belt after 10 years of hard training. Now, she has become a master in punching, blocking and kicking. A few days ago, the great-grandmother, who also has three grandchildren, accidentally chopped a friend's hand after she mistook her for a robber.
At this age, I must say I will only play with my grandchildren and puppies. What else, lying on bed and listening to old music. Forget about belt, I wouldn't even be able to do jogging.
Now congratulate that lady for her incredible achievement.

They say that no age bar can limit one from getting higher education. According to Croatian Times, a Croatian woman living in Italy has obtained a degree in philosophy, at the age of 85. Mejra Moise, who was born in on the Adriatic Island of Cres received her first degree in literature 62 years ago. Congratulations! Unfortunately I did not find a single photograph of Moise. I wish her all the very best for more higher education.

Bizarre
Many strange incidents happen around the world, beyond our imagination. Some are Bizarre, some are hilarious. Some are sad and some are jovial. Here is a story that really shocked me. Roger Goswell, a well-known property developer in Chichester, England killed his wife because she did not tell him that she was not a virgin when they married. Their 40yrs of marriage ended with a tragedy. According to an inquest, Goswell, who suffered from mental illness, killed his wife with a kitchen knife on December 23 last year and later crashed his Smart car into a tree near their home in West Sussex. The property developer later died at Worthing Hospital. What a man and what a world! I still can't believe it that after 40yrs of marriage a man can do such a heinous crime.

The moment I found this photo, I decided to put it on my blog. The picture shows that how cute and colourful it is. The Mandarin fish, which is native to the Western Pacific, is probably one of the most distinctive fish available in the marine aquarium hobby today. You can find more information about this fish on Google and Wikipedia.

Courage Under Fire
Malalai Kakar, the most high-profile woman police officer in Afghanistan, paid a heavy price for her indomitable courage and spirit. Militants, who were waiting outside the home of Kakar, pumped bullet after bullet into her body, killing her on the spot. Kakar, a mother of six, was well known to everyone for her courage in Kandahar - one of Afghanistan's most conservative provinces. The lady, the most senior policewoman in the province, had been appointed chief of a team of about 10 women police officers.
Kakar, who did her best to stop crimes against women and children, had received a number of death threats. After killing her, the extremist Taliban movement claimed responsibility and expressed delighted at eliminating her. But they forgot one thing that they managed to kill only her body, not her bravery, not her legacy. I pray to God to produce thousands of Kakars in Afghanistan. May her soul rest on peace!

Outlandish
When I saw the first photo I was simply shocked. What the hell was going on ?
Then when I saw the second photo, my thoughts went back to past. Remember what Justin Timeberlake did to Janet Jackson.
Then third photo. I asked myself don't these guys have respect for a woman?
Now fourth photo proved that I was wrong with my thoughts. It was completely a drama to hog the limelight. What happened to Heidi Klum on the stage was just a cheap publicity. It all happened during the 60th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, which was recently held in Los Angeles.

Stay Away !
Ladies, stay away from high heels ! It is not what I am saying, it is what a survey in England is saying. Women who prefer high heels suffer from permanent problems, a British study said. According to the survey, many women, who wear these 'killer heels' had hurt themselves falling off from their high heels. The survey further stated that the knees and back could also be seriously affected due to these tight-fitting shoes. So what do you say ?

How many times this movie will be adjudged as the best movie ever made in Hollywood? Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 gangster epic 'The Godfather' has been adjudged the greatest movie of all-time in a recent poll conducted by prestigious Empire magazine. More than 10,000 movie buffs, film-makers and critics put the movie on top of their list. 'The Godfather', in which screen legends Marlon Brando and Al Pacino played crucial roles, ranked as the second greatest movie in American cinematic history, behind Citizen Kane on the AFI's 100 Years...100 Movies (10th Anniversary Edition) list by the American Film Institute. My Salute To African Lady
Although South Africa's Natalie du Toit failed to win a medal, she won the hearts of millions sports fans across the globe with her indomitable courage to participate in the Beijing Olympics. The 24-year-old amputee finished 16th in the gruelling 10-km open-water swimming competition in the Games. Participating in the Olympics, she proved that anything is possible in this world. Toit also set the world record, becoming the first female amputee swimmer ever to qualify for the Olympics. I think the following quote perfectly summarises her. "Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instantly set about remedying them - every day begin the task anew-" Saint Francis De Sales.

Is It Worst Drubbing In History?
Bulgaria's national women's ice hockey team went down 0-82 to Slovakia in their final fourth match at a tournament in Latvia recently - one of the most one-sided matches in the history of sport. After reading this line, some readers will say 'hahahahahaha', while others will argue why the team was sent to take part in the event? Quite pathetic to see such a score-line. So incompetent that they failed to score a single goal. Still, I wish them all the best for the future!

Remembering Mother
Does she need any introduction? Widely regarded as the symbol of peace, love, affection, and compassion, Mother Teresa left us on September 5, 1997. What she did in her entire life is a great lesson for us. It is not easy to describe her achievements in a paragraph. Throughout her life, Mother worked for the poor, sick, and orphaned, ignoring her own personal life.
"Joy is prayer - Joy is strength - Joy is love - Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls."- Mother Teresa
"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless".- Mother Teresa

Accept It
For me, all are fake in this world except 'death' and 'sex'. If you ask me how, I will not be able to explain them. Sorry. They are inexplicable. If you enjoy funny quotes of famous people, here are some famous funny quotes on the two subjects. Simply enjoy them. Don't think too much.
Aesop (620 BC - 560 BC):-It is with our passions, as it is with fire and water, they are good servants but bad masters.
Aimee Mullins:-Confidence is the sexiest thing a woman can have. It's much sexier than any body part.
Alfred Lord Tennyson:-The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions.
Betty Friedan:-Instead of fulfilling the promise of infinite orgasmic bliss, sex in the America of the feminine mystique is becoming a strangely joyless national compulsion, if not a contemptuous mockery.
Billy Crystal:-Women need a reason to have sex. Men just need a place.
C. S. Lewis:-Mortal lovers must not try to remain at the first step; for lasting passion is the dream of a harlot and from it we wake in despair.
Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider:-It's just human. We all have the jungle inside of us. We all have wants and needs and desires, strange as they may seem. If you stop to think about it, we're all pretty creative, cooking up all these fantasies. it's like a kind of poetry.
George Burns:-I can remember when the air was clean and sex was dirty.
Joan Rivers:-A man can sleep around, no questions asked, but if a woman makes nineteen or twenty mistakes she's a tramp.
Marlene Dietrich:-In America sex is an obsession, in other parts of the world it is a fact.
R. D. Laing:-Life is a sexually transmitted disease.
Zsa Zsa Gabor:-I know nothing about sex because I was always married.
+++
A. Sachs:-Death is more universal than life; everyone dies but not everyone lives.
John James Ingalls:-In the democracy of the dead all men at last are equal. There is neither rank nor station nor prerogative in the republic of the grave.
John Heywood:-And death makes equal the high and low.
William Mitford:-Men fear death, as if unquestionably the greatest evil, and yet no man knows that it may not be the greatest good.
Walter Scott:-Death--the last sleep? No, it is the final awakening.
Henry Van Dyke:-Some people are so afraid to die that they never begin to live.
Lucan:- The gods conceal from men the happiness of death, that they may endure
life.
Mark Twain:-We owe a deep debt of gratitude to Adam, the first great benefactor of
the human race: he brought death into the world.
Proverb:-Good men must die, but death cannot kill their names.

Is It True ?
While Reading newspapers and magazines, I found such type of strange confessions. Every husband on this planet claims that his wife is most beautiful in the world. Similarly, every woman in the world claims that her husband is most handsome man on the planet. But I feel that they all are liars. How can they say like that ? If their wives are most beautiful women in the world, then what about others? Are they ugly ? If their husbands are handsome, what about others? The fact is that everyone is trying to appease each other. Ridiculous. Am I right or wrong?

Yeah. It Is He Who Said This....
Lt. Col. Frank Slade (Al Pacino) To Charlie Simms (Chris O'Donnell): "Women! What can you say? Who made 'em? God must have been a fuckin' genius. The hair... They say the hair is everything, you know. Have you ever buried your nose in a mountain of curls... just wanted to go to sleep forever? Or lips... and when they touched, yours were like... that first swallow of wine... after you just crossed the desert. Tits. Hoo-ah! Big ones, little ones, nipples staring right out at ya, like secret searchlights. Mmm. Legs. I don't care if they're Greek columns... or secondhand Steinways. What's between 'em... passport to heaven. I need a drink. Yes, Mr Sims, there's only two syllables in this whole wide world worth hearing: pussy. Hah! Are you listenin' to me, son? I'm givin' ya pearls here".
