Remembering Mother

Does she need any introduction? Widely regarded as the symbol of peace, love, affection, and compassion, Mother Teresa left us on September 5, 1997. What she did in her entire life is a great lesson for us. It is not easy to describe her achievements in a paragraph. Throughout her life, Mother worked for the poor, sick, and orphaned, ignoring her own personal life.

"Joy is prayer - Joy is strength - Joy is love - Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls."- Mother Teresa
"Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless".- Mother Teresa

Mother Theresa is truly an example of the aphorism, "If you want to know what a person believes, watch what he or she does."

There is saying; God can not be everywhere so he created 'Mother' to care of everyone. So, mother means God, so that we cannot explain God on papers. We can only expressed our gratitude to remember her.

Mother was certainly a saint, she left her country and family, renounced the world and came to an alien country to serve the poor. She does not need the certificate of Pope.

But this is the one side of the coin, the other one is not so bright. Mother received money from and blessed the people like dictator Duvalier, drug lords of Latin America and some mafia elements of the US and appealed to the respective government to have mercy on them on the ground that only God can give punishment, we are not confident enough to judge anyone!

Her much talked about age old home in Kolkata gives no medicine to the dying people, only prays for them. It does not bother to heal or cure, it only sees that you die in peace, so die as quickly as you can and allow us to pay attention to others! Yes, prayer comes cheaper.
Mother has opened most of the centres in non-Christian areas where the scope of coversion exists. Did she open centres in Saudi ASeab, UAE etc?
Her sisters have cheated her. Monice Besra was just a tool to prove the miracle of mother. A photograph or a talisman can not cure anyone of any ailment, most pious follower doctor fo her faith would admit it. Yet Monica was presented to befool the people.

She should be taken as a real woman, full of faith and peity as well as human weaknesses. She was not supernatural and any attempt to prove otherwise would insult her.

People like her her born once in a century. It's a shame we have become so self-centered that that we dont think about helping others or feel others' pain

Recently I've had the privilege of meeting a few of Mother Theresa's followers in the Sisters for Charity. They have nothing but kind words for her. But we must remember the other sisters as well who died for their cause. It is good to know and hope that Mother Theresa is not alone in this, that people are still following her footsteps.
