How many times this movie will be adjudged as the best movie ever made in Hollywood? Francis Ford Coppola’s 1972 gangster epic 'The Godfather' has been adjudged the greatest movie of all-time in a recent poll conducted by prestigious Empire magazine. More than 10,000 movie buffs, film-makers and critics put the movie on top of their list. 'The Godfather', in which screen legends Marlon Brando and Al Pacino played crucial roles, ranked as the second greatest movie in American cinematic history, behind Citizen Kane on the AFI's 100 Years...100 Movies (10th Anniversary Edition) list by the American Film Institute. Long Live 'The Godfather'!

A timeless masterpiece. Initially, I didn't like this film all that much - I found it bit boring.

But then years later I got to watch the movie with English subtitles and its been my fav. movie ever since.
It has tremendous re-watch-ability.

While it's a classic that almost every body has seen or at least heard of it's also one of the movies that I have never learned to like. The most memorable scene has to be the severed horse head in the bed. I couldn't stand seeing bumps and folds on my bed for years after I had seen that.

My father made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

What was that?

Luca Brasi held a gun to his head, and my father assured him that either his brains or his signature would be on the contract.
