Father at the age of 13 ! British newspaper The Sun has claimed that a 13-year-old British boy has become a father of his 15-year-old girlfriend. Alfie Patton became a father when his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman delivered to a baby girl Maisie Roxanne recently. According to The Sun, baby-faced Alfie impregnated Chantelle when he was just 12. Now, the boy has promised to be a good dad. "I didn't think about how we would afford it. I don't really get pocket money. My dad sometimes gives me 10 pounds (21 U. S. dollars)," said Alfie, who resides in Eastbourne, south England. "When my mum found out, I thought I was going to get in trouble ... I didn't know what it would be like to be a dad. I will be good, though, and care for it," he added. What an amazing world ! Such strange incidents happen and will continue to happen in future.

yes, i read too... but u know that there's two more boys (16 years old, i think) that were with the girl at the same time, so it's not sure that Alfie is the father... but still, so weird...

... and then there are people that is strongly against giving the kids sexual education... Kids will do what they do but if they are educated about how to stay safe there is also a chance that they don't become parents before they are old enough. And a pregnancy is one of the better "bad things" that can happen to them in today's world where HIV/aids and hepatitis cut so many lives short.

He's basically a child himself , how could he bring up a baby? Has it been proven through DNA that this baby is his? I understand that there's other teens who confessed to sleeping with the young mother.
I dont know what to say. Have read about this and another similar case. No clue what seems to be going on.

i strongly feel that this should have been prevented..bringing up a child is not a joke.....i think the parents are more the sarah palin types..who can risk the life of three individuals, who still have no idea of how to manage a household for a day...

I read this.. and thought it was extremely shocking.. Alfie doesnt have a clue of what he has got himself into... Plus the girl looks a lot older. I've heard.. she was with other boys at the same time as well.. I also thing.. the Sun has blown the issue more than required.... really!!
