Bizarre

Many strange incidents happen around the world, beyond our imagination. Some are Bizarre, some are hilarious. Some are sad and some are jovial. Here is a story that really shocked me. Roger Goswell, a well-known property developer in Chichester, England killed his wife because she did not tell him that she was not a virgin when they married. Their 40yrs of marriage ended with a tragedy. According to an inquest, Goswell, who suffered from mental illness, killed his wife with a kitchen knife on December 23 last year and later crashed his Smart car into a tree near their home in West Sussex. The property developer later died at Worthing Hospital. What a man and what a world! I still can't believe it that after 40yrs of marriage a man can do such a heinous crime.

Well if the old lady knew the guy had mental problems why did she tell him that sh** anyway..?

Funny, this case of utter evilness happened in the UK!( ..& not in Asia)

I don't like this side of the world... it's sad and horrified. But I like to read how you tell such stories!

well this story really says much ...
as far as i am concerned then had i been at the lady's place in this story then i would not have concealed the fact about virginity. your better half is the one who deserves to know each and every aspect of your past and present irrespective of being wife or husband. moreover the husband in thi scase also didnt did smthng good..

From what I've read it wasn't about virginity it was about a relationship that she had before she met him and married him.

I don't see it as bizarre either since it's about mental illness and not about a fully healthy man that suddenly decided to kill his wife because she had a relationship before she even met him. Mental illness makes people do strange things. Obviously.

If anything I'd question the mental care system that failed to help him for decades. Emphasis on decades, since that's a long time to be mentally ill and not get proper treatment.

Hey..ur blog is contradictory..like u said the man was mentally ill...if he was really insane then it was not a crime..n then the woman's fault was also big..u never know how much Goswell loved that woman..so it was nothing bizarre and certainly not a crime..I strongly disagree with the usage of these words for this rather unfortunate incident...

Indeed it is sad to read this kind of things....i wud mention a thing which is posted in one of the comments...dt it doesnt matter its asia or US or britain....inhuman things r done evrywhr....v all shld shed sterotypes...n as far as the guy who killed his wife is concerned...sometimes ppl do crimes out of impulse..it must be a situational crime...it ws d past of the lady...he shld hv understood...i`l say mental illness is not a new thng...as a part of the society v need to look into matters n do d needful...

40 years doesn't have to end that way. My wife and I are celebrating our 40th anniversary with this trip to Montreal, NY and the New Jersey shore.

You never know if it was insanity or love that made him do that. For 40 years the wife tells him she was a virgin when they married. It may not be a big deal for most of us, but probably it was for him. And maybe that is why his wife told him she was one before they married. 4 decades later he realises it was a lie, and he was bound to go crazy and he killed his wife in a fit of rage. What I'm more interested in knowing is..was it insanity or love that made him kill himself.

Anyhoo...this is a tragicomedy and I find it interesting

It is so weird. Why after 40 years? There was no need for her to say this and for him to kill her!

It just gets weirder by the day!
