Killer Wheels+Streams.....

In Delhi, I call all kind of four wheelers (especially cars) as vampires and blue line buses as demons. Sounds strange, but true. But I will not write about demons because much has been written about them. I will write only about vampires. Just watch them closely and you will know whether I am right. They (Drivers) don't drive; they simply fly like birds, without realising that roads are not only meant for them but for also pedestrians. And who are the drivers? The so-called educated. As such, they are the only one in hurry to reach at their homes or to meet their deadlines. They don't look how others are riding on road. And what about honking? Hey god, save us from them! If you try to persuade them, they will scold you in typical Delhi languages. So is there any solution to the problem? Only god knows! Like others, I will not blame CM Shila Dixit. Now I want to divert this topic to something else. I see everyday small streams. Do you? If you want to see them, simple go to the so-called posh areas such as Greater Kailash, Vasant Vihar, Vsanat Kunj, Lodhi Estate etc..... And there you will find a number of streams. Car drivers wash their vehicles in such a way that Delhi is situated close to an ocean. Water, water, water and than a small stream. Is this the way to clean the vehicles? It is well known to everyone that water problem in the capital is increasing. But who cares? One day I asked a driver about misuse of water and he admitted about it. But he explained that it was his duty, otherwise he might lose his job. Oooofffff…..

I liked ur view but i strongly disagree from the last 3 lines in which u talked about wastage of water by BUS drivers. Why are u singling them only? I believe they wash thr vehicle once in 15 days or in a month and if u would look closely in big colonies they waste much more water in washing thr cars and houses and in gardening. So i think u cud have done without that comment. Rest is good..

Dear writer I styrongly agree with your assertions about the killer Blue line busses, which in the post one or two years have claimed so many innocent lives and ruined many families. The careless attitude of the Delhi government, reckless bus driving, politicians-mafia-police nexus and no adherence to traffic rules are to be blamed for this menace. I hope that the drivers would also understand that the human live is priceless if they listen to their inner conscience. However, I partially agree with your stand on drivers wasting waters just for cleaning their masters' vehicles. Good effort any ways......

quite true.it is said that the wheel was man's greatest invention..until he got behind it.
deepak's commentary just goes on to prove this point.i travel about 60 kms daily on my bike in this city and witness the recklessness of several people driving four wheelers.
with increasing number of vehicles as well as people, the traffic situation in the capital is worsening day by day.the least that people could do was to drive responsibly.
and i completely agree on the issue of wastage of water.when cars are being washed daily, one or two buckets of water should be sufficient for the entire process.when one uses running water through pipes, one eventually ends up wasting more water than that.i believe that this can be avoided.
